5 member idol group, SHINee were on KBS CoolFM ‘Maybee’s Volume Up’ Radio where they honestly spoke out their opinions when asked questions of different scenarios of ‘If you had a girlfriend…?’

First off, DJ Maybee questioned leader Onew, “When your girlfriend is upset, how would you cheer her up?” He answered saying “I will play/sing her a song and make her feel better.” Aw, how sweet. I wish my ex-boyfriends did that for me. And Onew even sang “Tears are Dropping” by K.Will on the radio.

Next up, Jonghyun was asked, “How do you feel about girlfriends older than you?” Then my lovely Jonghyun answered, “I don’t’ think age should be a variable in love” and even added, “Same zodiac signs are okay, too.” *Jaw drops* Jonghyun, did ‘Nuna Is So Pretty’ get to your head or something? You would go out with someone 12 years older than you? Well, what about someone three years younger than you *wink*? With his answer, the nuna staff members at the radio station went all giddy.

Now Key was asked, “What would you do if your girlfriend came out to meet you and dressed in an outfit a fashion terrorist would wear?” And to the question, Key answered, “I’ll go shopping with her and buy everything for her.” Hm, don’t spoil your girlfriend Key; she’s probably already spoiled at the fact she’s going out with an idol.

Then hottie Minho gave off a manly aura with his answer to the question, “What would you do if your found out your girlfriend and friend were contacting each other?” Minho answered, “I’ll tell her to stop because she has me.”

Then youngest Taemin was questioned, “What would you do if your parents were against your girlfriend?” Well, Taemin is the baby so he replied; “I would persuade them by acting cute and nagging.”

What does SHINee do in their bedrooms?

For all you fans fantasizing about where SHINee eats, chills, showers, and sleeps at night, today's your lucky day because SHINee has released pictures of the inside of their home. It's surprisingly clean for a house consisting of 5 teenager boys, but the term "boys" is said quite loosely since I haven't seen the manly side of SHINee yet. Then again, most of these boys are too young and haven't even reached puberty, so their manhood will have to wait.

Anyways, these boys seem very organized, and their love for their fans are visible by their collection of presents from the fans. Besides the gifts from fans, everything else in the house is quite typical of teenager boys, from games to comic books. Inside their abnormally pretty faces and skinny bodies, there must be typical kids wanting to rebel and do what boys do best.

SHINee on inkigayo 7th June

Appearing on SBS Inkigayo to cap off the first week of a comeback filled with tears of joy, SHINee performed a minute from "Talk to You" off of their mini-album Romeo as well as their single, "Juliette". The teenagers also did a short interview.


Nice rap-battle interaction, Key & Minho. Many non-worship-blindingly SHINee fans can't help but wonder what might have been if a song like this was chosen as the first single. While it might not instantly sway your hips like "Noona is so Pretty (Replay)" did, "Talk to You" sounds like a natural evolution from the fresh R&B-ish sound SHINee displayed in their first album. Their clothes also look like something human teenagers could wear, which left many viewers totally unprepared for the "Juliette" outfits' visual assault (scroll down and you'll see). Unfortunately to many, SM chose a remake from a High School Musical alum and Key's outfit. Boooooradley. Considering the lack of originality rampant in K-Pop these days, I wouldn't even care if SM chose a remake for SHINee's single if they had just chosen a quality track, as opposed to a song that screams "I'm too catchy, you must like me eventually." While native Koreans, who don't know Corbin Bleu from corned beef stew, eat "Juliette" right up (just as they did with fellow SM catchilicious tracks "Gee" and "Sorry Sorry"), international fans are left wanting more.

In particular, American fans 5000+ miles away (the majority of our readership) just don't really matter much to Korean companies, since most of the albums are sold in Asia (admit it fellow downloaders), most of the concerts are in Asia, and most of the merchandise is sold in Asia. SM can buy all of the American songs they want, have someone Korean lyrics for them (kudos to Jonghyun), rake in the money, and not have a care in the world. Considering how much easier it is to just get a pre-made catchy song than it is to make it yourself, many Korean companies probably don't care if their groups had zero American fans (though that would never happen, so why stop if you get the money?). End rant.

SHINee on MBC Music Core

SHINee performed "Juliette" with some rather unique outfits for MBC Music Core's rather unique stage







Unlike yesterday's Music Bank performance, in which the group had hand mics, SHINee wore headsets so fans could finally see the song's choreography in all it's glory, volleyball-bumping included. Music Core does not have a winner, so the Suju-SHINee SM-Family friendly rivalry will have to wait until Inkigayo, where YG Entertainment's 2NE1 will join the fray. Jonghyun is probably happy that Music Core has no winner, because if SHINee had won again, he might have ruined his tear ducts permanently by sobbing as he did for yesterday's win:





i know you wrote the lyrics for "Juliette" and that the victory represents a big step in your own music career, but there are some limits to public emotion Jonghyun! I wonder what would happen if SHINee ever won MKMF Artist of the Year. Would Jonghyun's head just explode? In other notes from the stage, Key thankfully redyed his hair from that haystack-blond he sported at Music bank, so noonas can once again make him the key to their chastity belts. Maknae Taemin is also looking way more mature than when he first debuted a year ago, and is starting to stir even more pedo thoughts from his noona fans with sequences of this ilk:
